I discovered this ice cream at the 2009 Natural Products Expo East in Boston and was blown away by it. Featured recently on Bravo’s Top Chef Masters, this quinoa pasta has been a staple in my kitchen for quite a while. Quinoa is a super-grain high in protein, originates from the Andes in South America and has been around for 6,000 years. Slightly different texture than traditional pasta but no wheat or white flour. Cook with extra water, stir often. I also love their angel hair pasta. Sold throughout the country at natural/organic stores and also online HERE.
I can’t believe this stuff comes out of a jar. It’s as if I am eating at one of New York City’s top Italian restaurants. The chunks of tomatoes and just the right amount of herbs give it an amazing taste. There are many other organic pasta sauces on the market that are less expensive but not nearly as good. Sold throughout the country at natural/organic stores and online HERE.
It took a little while getting used to the taste but now I often eat it straight out of the bag. Most of the time, I put dulse on salads or in soups. Dulse is a sea vegetable, similar to nori in sushi rolls, and is a great source of vitamins, minerals and protein. Sold throughout the country at natural/organic stores and online HERE.
Organic raw cacao is one of the most nutritious foods available and is filled with tons of antioxidants, amino-acids. I use organic raw cacao powder in my breakfast smoothie and the brand I prefer is Sunfood. 100% raw. Sold online HERE..
With superfoods becoming an important part of my diet, maca is something that I put into my morning smoothie. This root comes from the Andes in South America and is widely believed to increase stamina, boost libido and combat fatigue. It has a mild butterscotch/vanilla smell. 100% raw. Sold throughout the country at natural/organic stores and online HERE.
Fantastic aqua-botanical harvested from Lake Klamath in Oregon. Considered by some renowned health authorities to be one of nature’s most beneficial superfoods. People magazine called it the “new” wheatgrass. I drink it almost daily. Sold online HERE.
If you are looking to mix things up in your morning coffee routine, you’ll want to try the Mayan Mocha flavor. Phenomenal taste. Just the perfect amount of vanilla, cocoa and spices. Sold nationwide, click HERE to find a location near you.
The two main things I like about this bar. 1) It is loaded with super-nutrients including blue-green algae extract, cacao and maca –> tons of antioxidants. 2) Very rich taste. 100% raw. Not sold in too many places but can be purchased at www.wildbar.info.
I have been eating this bar for many years and it’s one of my all-time favorites. Lots of greens including spirulina, wheat grass powder and barley grass powder. I like to put it in the fridge and eat it cold. Sold throughout the country at natural/organic stores and also online HERE.
I’ve been wolfing these down lately and have a video review of the product. This bar is sweet yet curbs my hunger. Ideal for a pre-workout snack. It can be purchased online HERE.
Despite the fact this is under the Kids section, anyone can eat it. I eat it! The taste is rich, smooth, and, yes, pretty awesome. The texture is slightly thicker than most yogurt. Abundant in important nutrients for babies. Also, the nutritional info/label is in English and Spanish. Sold nationwide. To find a location near you, click HERE.
