The importance of sea vegetables cannot be underestimated and dulse is one of my very favorites.
It has a slightly chewy taste and is great to put in soups and on salads. It took me a little while to get used to the texture but now I eat it straight out of the bag!!
Dulse is rich in Iodine and iron, and is a good source of some of the B-Vitamins. Furthermore, it is raw and organic.
This particular dulse is hand-harvested from remote Gulf of Maine bays, undergoes annual OCIA organic inspection and the company voluntarily tests it for heavy metal, chemical and microbiological contaminants.
