How can a super-toxic weedkiller — which is known to the State of California to cause cancer — be allowed to be sprayed on our nation’s food supply?

It is an absolute outrage that our government is permitting this to happen, especially when the latest President’s Cancer Panel report said that 41% of Americans will get cancer and 21% of Americans will die from cancer.

Now is the time to tell our government ‘No’ to glyphosate, as it is considering to reapprove this toxic chemical for another 15 years.

We have until midnight on April 30th to let the EPA know that we want this chemical banned forever, and it is essential that everyone’s voice be heard.

HERE IS WHAT WE KNOW

– Glyphosate is the primary ingredient in Monsanto’s RoundUp and is the most widely-sprayed chemical in the world, with approximately 250 million pounds used each year in the U.S. and 1.65 billion pounds globally.

– The World Health Organization has said that glyphosate is a “probable human carcinogen”, which means that it “probably causes cancer.”

– The State of California has said that glyphosate is “known to cause cancer”.

– Because of such widespread usage, 93% of Americans now have glyphosate in their bodies!

– Widely-sprayed on conventional food crops and because of drift, glyphosate is contaminating organic food.

– Overusage of glyphosate has caused a massive epidemic of “super-weeds” throughout the country. This problem was even chronicled by The New York Times.

– Glyphosate poses an existential threat to monarch butterflies and their epic migration by wiping out their host plant, milkweed, from farm fields throughout the Midwest.

– Roundup is incredibly toxic to frogs and is likely contributing to the worldwide decline in amphibians.

TELL THE EPA ‘NO MORE’

The EPA is accepting comments as to whether it should reapprove glyphosate for another 15 years, and we have until midnight on April 30th to let our voices be heard.

While it is very easy to sign an e-petition and it makes us feel good that we took action by making a few clicks on a mouse, the truth is that these e-petitions are not that effective. What is much more effective is to make a comment directly on the government’s website and have it be an official part of the record.

Here is what to do:

1) Click on this link: https://www.regulations.gov/document?D=EPA-HQ-OPP-2009-0361-0066

2) In the upper right-hand corner, you’ll see a blue button that says “Comment Now!”

Click that button.

3) Leave a comment in the box on that page. Feel free to include any of the information stated above but make sure that you use the words “do not reapprove glyphosate for another 15 years.”

It is completely unacceptable that this super-toxic chemical is allowed to be sprayed on our nation’s farms, parks and schools, and our government needs to hear this from every single one of its citizens.

I have already left my comment on the government’s website. Will you leave yours?

Thank you so much for your time, effort and concern.

(If, for some reason, you get a message that says you need to “correct errors” in your submission of comments, please do the following. In the bottom right-hand corner of the submission box, you will see a red circle with numbers. Hover over that red circle with your mouse and to the left of that red circle, you will see another icon that looks like a power button. Click on that icon and then hit the green button that pops up which says “disable until next visit”. This will disable Grammarly, which is preventing you from having your comments submitted.)

Allowing our food supply to be sprayed with poison that eventually kills us is tantamount to condoning slow, painful MURDER! Every individual at the EPA that continues to allow this contamination to continue is culpable!
You are not doing your jobs , you are not protecting the citizens of the United States. You should all be fired!

  • Meg Candilore says:

No more poisons on our food!!

  • Please don’t allow the chemical Glyphosate in Round Up continue to be used on food that all us consume. There is too many chemicals now that we have to cope with each day.

  • Kat says:

This chemical poison should have never been approved for sale-period. The fact that it was approved, shows the criminal collusion between government and corporations which are one and the same. People- your government and its agents have all signed on to UN Agenda 21 and many are working together to depopulate the majority of us using silent weapons. Roundup is one of the major tools in their toolbox. The US is a targeted country and the first one scheduled to be taken down. GM food, chemtrails, fluoride, vaccines, pHARMa drugs, electromagnetic frequencies, propaganda, manipulating our perceptions through media, tv, news, magazines, internet, etc. Weakening our minds and bodies with poisons and indoctrinating us from childhood in schools that program our perceptions and teach us unquestioning obedience to authority. They’ve changed our history books, so we have no idea what our real history is, we can only guess. What we’re experiencing now has probably played out many times before in the past using different means. Why are we begging our slavemasters to be nicer slavemasters? If something isn’t good for all, it’s not good. This system is going down, crumbling before our eyes. It seems like things keep getting worse everyday, but it’s sometimes darkest before the dawn. Keep faith that we will prevail and the dark ones who act against our interests will be soon be removed and brought to justice.

  • Gail says:

Please do not reapprove this poison!

  • Geri Henley says:

Why does the FDA allow poison in our food??? President Trump needs to put a stop to this!!!

  • Sue Costoff says:

When people are on their deathbeds , they have to take a hard look at their lives and how well they lived them! Your souls are at stake here folks… ban this horror from our earth! We can’t let this poison loose anymore!

  • Cade Johnson says:

“probable carcinogen” means it is likely to cause cancer in humans at some level, but that level has not been identified and actual links between the chemical and cases of cancer have not been proven. So, while I am suspicious of glyphosate and wish more independent investigations of its toxicity would be done – banning it seems overboard. Detecting a trace and detecting a dangerous dose are two different things, fortunately.

  • Maria Aguilar says:

    Stop slowly making us sick

  • birdella King says:

    Hello,
My name is Mary King.. My son in law used Roundup on his lawn. I reside with my son in law and we were both recently
    diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma

  • Please cite the interference with the shikimate pathway.
This is how it kills microbes and plants that utilize this essential pathway.
It harms our microbiomes, the soil microbiome and livestock microbiomes.
This is a prescription for disaster.
Monsanto cites that mammalian cells don’t use this pathway – which is accurate – but mess with microbiomes and you are messing with the fundamental bases of ecosystems.
    This is slow suicide folks!!

  • April says:

I posted my comment. Was disappointed to see there were only just over 6000 comments.

  • It’s all about money for the shameful pesticide companies and their paid political lobbyists, governmental regulators and congressional “representatives.”

  • reginald jungwirth says:

Are you people (especially Republicans) in Washington, D.C. insane, or just plain greedy for big donor contributions? You do realize, of course, that your children and grandchildren are going to suffer the consequences of your decisions, don’t you? Do your job and focus on “the general welfare of the people” by voting against renewal of the approval of glyphosate!

  • Paul Keane says:

    Health not Minority Wealth!

  • I tried posting this comment and the system rejected it for “errors”.

I have prostate cancer and, after a forensic review of my entire life history with the best science available, the likelihood is high I got it from glyphosate. The poison paradigm for agriculture is an unnecessary disaster. Do not reapprove glyphosate for another 15 years. Banning it now will place us on the road to recovery. Sustainable ORGANIC agriculture is a huge success story and the only future for the planet. Caveat Emptor.

    • Max Goldberg says:

      Hi Stephen,

Please see the bottom of my post. I just included instructions about what to do if you receive an error message in your submission.

      Thanks,
      Max

  • Sherri Samelak says:

Americans deserve to have a food supply that isn’t contaminated with ‘Probable Carcinogens’. We are bombarded with toxins at every turn.
Please ban this herbicide from our food!
