Maria Rodale’s Top 10 Farm-to-Table Restaurants
For those who don’t know Maria, she has some serious street cred in the organic world.
– Her grandfather, J.I Rodale, started the organic food movement in the U.S. in the 1940s with the publication of Organic Farming and Gardening magazine (now known as Organic Gardening).
– Maria Rodale has published several books including Organic Manifesto: How Organic Farming Can Heal Our Planet, Feed the World, and Keep Us Safe. This is a must-read book for everyone. It clearly and succinctly explains why organic food, and not GMO-food, is the only solution to feed the planet.
– Maria Rodale’s family started The Rodale Institute, which has been researching organic agriculture for the last 60 years.
Maria has compiled her Top 10 favorite farm-to-table restaurants. The restaurants are in both the U.S. and Canada, and meet her criteria of being “locally sourced organic food, cleanly cooked; not too pretentious; and most important of all, delicious and yummiful!”
