Comeback Award from Natural Products Expo West 2014 – GoodOnYa

At Natural Products Expo West 2010, I discovered a company called GoodOnYa and really flipped out over its energy bars.

Over time, however, the quality of the company’s products seemed to slip and I could not figure out why. When I caught up with GoodOnYa’s Founder/CEO Kris Fillat at this year’s show, she fully agreed with my assessment and said that for the last few years the company had suffered from some very serious issues with its co-packer (manufacturer).

Fortunately, all of these problems are in the past, and the company’s products are not only back to where they were but they are significantly better than they were four years ago.

With literally dozens and dozens of energy bars at Natural Products Expo West 2014, GoodOnYa’s bars were not just among the best but may have been the best out of every company at the show.

In particular, I loved the superhero bar, which is made with cashews, cacao, goji berries, and chia seeds. Aside from the fantastic taste, it had a texture that was light and airy, something that I had never experienced to this degree in a bar.

Along with its revamped breakfast bar, peanut butter chocolate, and peanut butter honey bar, GoodOnYa also unveiled a new line of sports drinks – think healthy and organic versions of Gatorade.

GoodOnYa’s organic sports drinks called Hydrate have 5 grams of sugar, are sweetened with stevia, and contain a non-gmo electrolyte blend of sodium, potassium, and 72 other trace minerals. These will be a big, big hit.

AVAILABILITY

As of now, the new and revamped energy bars are only available via the company’s website and will be shipped out beginning next week, but orders can be placed today. If you use the code LIVINGMAXWELL at checkout, you’ll get a 20% discount off of your order. (The bars you see on Amazon are the old stock and are NOT the new ones.)

Additionally, I will be doing a giveaway of GoodOnYa bars sometime within the next two months, so stay tuned.

In terms of Hydrate, these sports drinks will be available at retail locations nationwide later this year.

GoodOnYa Bar has always been a huge supporter of organic and GMO-labeling, and I am thrilled to see this company back and better than ever.
