Flower and Gift Ideas for an Organic Valentine’s Day

With Valentine’s Day next week on February 14th, I wanted to share with you some organic gift ideas and also talk about the tremendous importance of organic flowers.

GIFTS

Gnosis Chocolate’s Passion Collection gives you many great options to choose from including cherry vanilla, passionfruit cupuacu, wild rose, and Madagascar mylk truffles with aphrodisiac herbs. These are available in gift boxes of 4, 12, or 24 truffles, priced at $12.99, $37.99 and $74.99, respectively.

If you want to go for something other than truffles, Gnosis has Berry Rose chocolate bars ($9.95 each) infused with rose hips, rose petals, and rose essential oils. Additionally, the company is offering an extensive array of gift baskets, with varying degrees of prices and sizes.

One Lucky Duck, one of NYC’s renowned organic food attractions, is offering a Big Love Box ($84) and a Mini Love Box ($49 – scroll down the page, click the drop-down menu where it says “TITLE”), which come with an assortment of chocolate macaroons, cookies, brownies, and Jem chocolate bars.

As I wrote to you about in a recent newsletter, America’s Best Organics is offering three different Valentine’s Day gift baskets. The one below is $39 and is their Chocolate Decadence Organic Gift Basket (scroll to the bottom of the page).

The company also has two other gift baskets to choose from, a Lavender Love Organic Home Spa Gift Basket and the Raw Food Snacks Organic Gift Basket. To view and/or order either gift basket, click HERE and scroll to the bottom of the page.

If you’re looking for a non-chocolate, non-traditional, organic Valentine’s Day gift, buy someone a bag of Sunfood goji berries.

These are some of the highest quality organic goji berries that you’ll find and contain up to 21 trace minerals, including zinc, iron, copper, calcium and 18 different amino acids.

FLOWERS

While many of us are incredibly conscientious about buying organic food because of the harm that chemicals cause the environment and farmers, we must have that same concern when it comes to flowers as well.

Several years ago, The New York Times profiled flower workers in Ecuador and how sick they get due to continuous exposure to these toxic chemicals. This story broke my heart.

In order to help create more jobs at organic flower farms and to keep workers safe, we must purchase organic flowers and support this industry.

I’ve ordered from Organic Bouquet several times before and have always had a very positive experience.

Have a fantastic Valentine’s Day!!!!
