In terms of organic food news over the past few weeks, the two major stories headlines have been (1) the release by the FDA of its genetically-engineered salmon Environmental Assessment and (2) the Monsanto Rider in the Farm Bill, both of which I recently wrote about.
Here are the other stories that caught my eye. Enjoy!!!

hmm. is the pressed juicery acquisition a good thing? i normally always hate when organic lines get bought (insert burts bees, naked, kashi, etc) so i wonder what this means. although i have never tried pressed juicery i was planning on heading there soon.
Hi Cristina,
Is the BluePrint acquisition a good thing? That remains to be seen. They will grow much faster now and introduce more flavors but whether they maintain the quality and organic integrity is something that we don’t know just yet.
Pressed Juicery is different from BluePrint. BluePrint is certified organic and Pressed Juicery is not.
