My Recent Organic Dinner at Josie’s in NYC

Last week, I was on the Upper West Side of Manhattan (which doesn’t happen too much since I spend a majority of my time downtown) and went to eat at Josie’s, a great organic restaurant.

I like Josie’s a lot since the food is fresh, the service is excellent, and the menu is extensive. Here is what I had.

ROASTED BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP

This vegetarian and dairy-free soup was made from butternut squash and ginger with a pumpkin seed-basil pesto swirl on the top.

MESCLUN SALAD

VEGETARIAN MEATLOAF

This vegetarian meatloaf was made from lentils, seitan, shiitake mushrooms and a sweet potato loaf, all topped with a miso gravy. It also came with a side of steamed broccoli.

Overall, I had a great meal at Josie’s and would absolutely go back.
