Back to Juicing with This Green Combination

You may have noticed that I haven’t been posting any pictures of juice lately.

The main reason for this is that I have been waiting for replacement parts for my Green Star juicer.

Well, they just came in and I immediately put the machine back to work.

The first combination that I made was kale, celery, broccoli sprouts, and lime.

In the past, I have written about juicing with broccoli sprouts and use them because of the tremendous amount of nutrients, minerals, vitamins, and enzymes that sprouts provide.

So, I went with the broccoli sprouts and also added a touch of lime juice, something that I rarely use. Limes give green juice a kick of tartness and help to provide a very interesting flavor profile.

Needless to say, it was wonderful to be juicing at home again and there will be a lot more of this going on in the weeks to come.

So, that means it is critically important for people to develop a juicing habit at home. And if you want to dramatically improve your physical and emotional well-being, don’t delay in getting that juicer going.

Here are three juicers that I recommend but remember, the quality of juicer has a lot to do with the price.

Breville JE98XL – a good starter juicer for people new to juicing. Since this is a centrifugal juicer, make sure that you drink the juice immediately. If not, it will oxidize and you’ll lose valuable nutrients and minerals.

Hurom HU-100 – a dual stage extraction juicer that juices quickly and extracts 50% more juice than a centrifugal juicer. I’ve never owned one but I have had juice from it, have seen it in action, and friends of mine really like it. It is a very fast juicer. Drink the juice within 15 minutes of juicing.

Green Star 1000 – a twin-gear juicer which makes phenomenal juice. If you are serious about juicing and know that you are ready to make a real commitment to it, this is a fantastic pick. I have had it for about 5 years and love it. Drink the juice within 15 minutes of juicing.

The bottom is line is this. Whether you want to buy or make your juice, the most important thing is to just start juicing.

And it goes without saying that the juice should be organic.
