The Best Farmers Market in the U.S. is in Miami, Florida

Most people would probably say that choosing the best farmers market in the country would be based on selection, prices, quantity, how much is organic, crowds, and overall experience.

For me, it is much more simple.

Which farmers market will dictate my entire travel schedule just so I can be there for it?

The only one that fits this criteria is the farmers market put on by Glaser Organic Farms in the Coconut Grove section of Miami. I will literally book my plane tickets so as to guarantee I am in Miami on a Saturday, the only day of the week that it is open.

What makes it so great?

Not only can you shop from a very wide selection of fresh and organic fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, crackers, and other assorted dried goods, but you can sit down and have the most amazing raw food lunch.

You’ll be able to pick from a huge raw salad bar, nori rolls, pizza, fruit cakes, juices, nut milks, coconut waters, and desserts.

But most notably, you’ll get to eat the best raw ice cream that I have ever had. And having eaten raw ice cream from the top raw food restaurants all over the U.S., I firmly believe that nothing is as good as the one here.

If you live anywhere in South Florida or are making a trip to Miami, make sure to check out the farmers market by Glaser Organic Farms in Coconut Grove.

It is an absolute must-visit destination for me whenever I am in town and when I lived in Miami from 2005-2008, I was there every single Saturday, without fail. It is that awesome.

Top 5 Organic Products of Fancy Food Show 2022

For the first time in three years, the Fancy Food Show returned to New York City, and as usual, it was a spectacular show.

While walking around the show on the first day, I was getting a bit concerned that I wasn’t going to find some stellar new organic products. But by the end of the show on the third day, I completely changed my mind.

Some of the new organic products that I discovered have the potential to be very large, well-known national brands, and the innovation that I saw was outstanding. Additionally, narrowing this list down to just five products was incredibly challenging. It easily could have been ten.

Sol Simple Solar Dried Organic Bananas – A Fantastic Product and An Amazing Story

I can’t tell you how gratifying it is to share with you great-tasting organic products that are also making a big difference in the world.

One such product that I recently discovered at Whole Foods Tribeca is Sol Simple Solar Dried Bananas.

Produced in Nicaragua, the organic bananas come in thin spears and are dried indoors using a solar drying technology, which enables Sol Simple to reduce carbon emissions.

According to the company, traditional outdoor drying techniques take 2-3 days, expose the fruit to mold and bacteria, and allow the fruit to oxidize.
