The biggest trade show of the year in the organic food industry, Natural Products Expo West, starts tomorrow in Anaheim, CA and I am here covering it. Needless to say, this is a very exciting event and 55,000 people are expected to attend.

Since I get a lot of questions about how I eat organic on the road, I will be documenting all of my meals for everyone to see.

This is what I took on the plane.

ORGANIC SPINACH SALAD WITH SUN-DRIED TOMATOES FROM ORGANIC AVENUE

TWO MOMS IN THE RAW FLAX CRACKERS – TOMATO BASIL

LIVING INTENTIONS SUPERFOOD CEREAL – HEMP & GREENS

As soon as I got off the plane, I headed straight to Au Lac, an organic restaurant in Orange County, CA. I have been wanting to go to Au Lac for three years already and it was AMAZING!!!!!!! Stay tuned for pictures and a recap.

    Hi Max,
I did not know that the airlines allowed you to bring fresh salads or fresh food on the plane. Was this really the case for you? Simply curious.
I ask because I am traveling to SoCal and Chicago next month.

    All the best,
    stephanie

      Hi Stephanie,

You can travel with food — I always do. It goes through security, however.

      Live well,
      Max

Actually I have not been – but the menu is so intriguing that I must experience it one day.

    Thanks for the review!

      Hi Kelly,

Yes, it is a must-go place. It took me three years to get there but it was worth the wait!!

      Live well,
      Max

I just put the post up about Au Lac and I am a huge fan, as it appears you are as well. What’s your favorite dish there?

    Live well,
    Max

    Well prepared!

I look forward to your adventures at Au Lac – the menu and approach is one of the most unique that I have seen and it appears that you are in for a truly special meal there. I certainly added it to my list!
