Organic Avenue Opens Pop-Up Store in Midtown Manhattan

Organic Avenue, one of New York City’s hottest organic concepts, just opened a pop-up store in Midtown Manhattan, on 57th Street near the corner of 5th Avenue.

When I went to go visit it the other day, I was in complete shock the moment I saw the massive Organic Avenue orange sign from halfway down the block.

I said to myself “I can’t believe how big that sign is. This is awesome!”

Why was I so excited?

To have this enormous sign promoting organic in a wealthy, heavily-trafficked shopping district of Manhattan is not only great for Organic Avenue but also fantastic for the organic industry.

This location is sure to get many people in the door who are new to organic. And at the very least, it will raise the brand recognition for the company.

On a more broad scale, I can’t remember ever seeing a sign, in such a visible public area, so big with the words “organic” on it.

As I wrote about it last year, I was told that a national advertising campaign for organic was imminent. Yet, I still haven’t seen anything and can’t imagine that one will be coming soon, given the serious funding needs of both the California ballot initiative to label GMOs and the national Just Label It campaign.

So, we’ll have to thank Organic Avenue for doing its part to spread the word about organic.

If you’re in the Midtown Manhattan area, definitely drop by Organic Avenue’s pop-up store. This 2,000 square foot location has seating for 20 and offers its usual assortment of pressed organic juice and raw vegan food.

The address is 3 West 57th Street, located between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Hours are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
