Organic Ideas for Valentine’s Day

Whenever holidays come around, it doesn’t mean that I take a holiday from eating organic.

Since the majority of the world is not yet on the organic bandwagon (including most of my friends and family), it requires that we plan in advance and get resourceful. But it also presents a great opportunity to expose people to some excellent organic products.

Here are a few ideas for an organic Valentine’s Day.

How Did I Celebrate Food Day? I Watched the Fantastic “What’s on Your Plate?” Documentary in NYC

For those who don’t know, yesterday was Food Day.

Yes, Earth Day but for food — Food Day.

As I wrote about the other day, Food Day hasn’t been around for three decades but this year made a huge comeback. Given the renewed interest in the importance of our food supply, my guess is that Food Day will become an annual event and is here to stay.

Organic Candy and Healthy Options for Halloween

Food Day is Tomorrow – October 24th

Ever heard of Food Day?

Neither had I.

Well, it’ll be celebrated around the country tomorrow, October 24th, yet it will not be America’s first Food Day.

That took place nearly 36 years ago but went on a hiatus for over three decades because of a lack of money and energy to keep it going.

Michael Jacobson and The Center for Science in the Public Interest are reviving this event to raise awareness of increasing food prices and world hunger.

Organic Passover — What Are The Options?

With Passover coming up soon, I wanted to talk about organic food options for this holiday since many people don’t even know they exist.

For me and many others out there, holidays do not mean a holiday from eating healthy food.

Regardless of how special the day is, I never want to be putting pesticides or synthetic growth hormones into my body.

MINI-MATZOH

This is the first time that I’ve ever come across mini-matzoh. I guess it is for kids or people who think that the standard size matzoh is too big.
